Canadian Rockies & Seattle - part 4
So we started the next part of our journey by train from Vancouver to Seattle.
The train was a great way to sit back, relax and not have the hassle or restrictions of air travel.
The journey took 5 hours, and I would definitely recommend you do this on the day journey, so you can see the amazing views. We were at 5pm leaving Vancouver & by the time the train got out of the City, you couldn't see much other than lights in the distance.
Home to the famous Sleepless in Seattle movie with Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan & our home for the next 3 nights, we stayed with friends on the outskirts on the City in a small neighbourhood called Green Lake.
The first evening we went to a restaurant called Bitterroot BBQ. The food was out of this world! http://www.bitterrootbbq.com/menu/
Top tip: Make sure you pre-book, as it's almost impossible to get in otherwise!
For coffee lovers....
Original Starbucks
The Pike Place Starbucks store, commonly called the Original Starbucks, is the first Starbucks store, established in 1971 at Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle, Washington, United States. The store has kept its early appearance over time and is subject to design guidelines due to its historic significance.
They have also introduced a one-of-a kind coffee shrine in their hometown that captures the past, present and future of Starbucks.
This place is called the Starbucks Reserve Roastery & tasting room.

After this our journey came to an end. It was time to fly home from Seattle to London Heathrow, again with British Airways.
So many amazing memories were made on this trip, it was one that I will never, ever forget!
